We offer CNC and Manual OD grinding services for shaping and polishing many types of machined part surfaces including flat, tapered, and stepped surfaces. The OD grinding process involves holding the work piece on a rotating chuck and grinding it by applying a spinning grinding wheel perpendicularly to the work piece. Surface finishing or grinding to very tight tolerances of about three thousandths of an inch can be achieved.
Our GU-19 YAM OD grinder has the ability to grind different profiles, angles, and plunges in a single operation. Precision concentricity, tapers, and multiple diameters in components can be ground with our OD grinder. This machine can grind components that range from 0.25 to 8 inches in diameter and can accommodate components up to 48 inches in length. We offer manual OD grinding for various metal components, including stainless steel, aluminum, and steel alloys. We will use our grinding capabilities to meet your custom specifications.
